I think this pretty much sums up the most important part of each episode of Murder She Wrote. Put Jessica in a ridiculous situation in which she has to solve ridiculous murders ridiculously.  In the series pilot, she must go to a costume party for some reason and wear a fairy godmother dress, because….she can, I guess? It doesn’t get better than this.
